Challenge:

With the 2014 Olympic Games well underway, ICAT Logistics Detroit received a call advising that Pavel Datsyuk needed six more hockey sticks in Sochi, Russia as soon as possible. Datsyuk, a beloved star for the Detroit Red Wings, was Team Captain for Russia. Due to the heightened security surrounding high-profile international events, it was imperative for ICAT to find a creative solution quickly.

Big Picture:

ICAT jumped right into the game by picking up the sticks and making special arrangements with its partner that specializes in shipping to Russia. Advised there was an embargo for all orders going to Sochi because of security concerns, ICAT appealed to national interests.

With country pride on the line, ICAT’s Moscow team had the goods cleared in under 24 hours — this, alone, is unheard of in Russia — and delivered in Sochi. When it comes to handling time-sensitive goods anywhere in the world, you can count on ICAT to score – and win.
